Town’s Plough to re-open as innovative new business hub

An INNOVATIVE new business hub for Gainsborough is set to open in March.

The former Plough pub on Church Street is currently undergoing a £350,000 makeover to attract small businesses to trade from.

Gainsborough Growth Point Project Manager Joanna Walker said: “West Lindsey District Council is working hard to attract new businesses to the district as part of our Growth Point Status.”

“We are currently marketing the Elswitha Quarter in Gainsborough to attract further developments into the town centre. This is a prime opportunity for a mixed use development. Once we have any news to report we will let you know.”

She added: “In the meantime the Plough offers small businesses a fantastic opportunity to rent a contemporary office space from as little as £31 a week.”

There are 10 offices to let and the prices vary depending on the size of the office.

The new business hub is situated next to the Grade II listed Parish Church.

Gelder Construction is carrying out work on the development and once it is complete it will feature:

l a meeting room for businesses and community groups which is also equipped with the latest IT facilities

l hot-desking and rent-a-desk facilities for businesses in the very early stages of starting up

l a kitchen and seating area, which leads on to a patio area for relaxed lunches or informal meetings

l parking permits available

– 24 hour access
