That was the verdict of organiser Linda Brumpton after 73 tractors turned up to the Old Railway Yard before setting out on the round trip of 25 miles over the Wolds.

There was a great turn out of villagers in support of the event too, many lining the route from the yard and down Victoria Road to send the drivers on their way.

Mrs Brumpton, pictured sending the tractors on their way, said: “We hope to raise £2,500 as in 2013, anything above that is a bonus. It has been fantastic and I thank everyone for their support.”

Anne Millett for Lindsey Lodge Hospice added her thanks too.

“The tractor drivers really seem to enjoy the event and it gets great support from the village.

“I thank all the organisers and the drivers, as well as those who have helped with all the fundraising.”
