Their account said: “Due to 40’s event in Woodhall, services will pick up on Witham Rd or Tattershall Rd. NOT at the hotel bus stop . Apologies for inconvenience.”

Earlier today, organisers wrote on the event’s Facebook wall: “The village roads remain open on Saturday and Sunday, but all non-festival traffic is encouraged to avoid entering the village. For those coming to enjoy the festival please follow the instructions of the police and traffic management company precisely and avoid the temptation to park in side roads or parade along the Broadway.

“The event is at its best when the village centre is left to the vintage vehicles and pedestrians. Thanks in anticipation of your cooperation.”

More than 10,000 visitors are expected to descend on Woodhall Spa this weekend for the annual festival - which takes place today and tomorrow (Sunday)
