Train evacuated in Retford after brakes overheat

Firefighters were called to Retford Train Station last night after a train overheated.

The train was evacuated when the running gear overheated around 10pm last night (Thursday).

The train stopped at platform two on the northbound line while firefighters dampened down the brakes.

Fire crews from Retford, Stockhill and Mansfield all attended the scene.
