A17 partially blocked east of Heckington after collision

The incident was reported shortly before midday on Monday between the turning for Heckington village (B1394) and Sidebar Lane (B1395).

According to a Lincolnshire Police spokesman, there was a collision near the Heckington MOT Centre in which a lorry partially ran into a ditch, partly blocking the road as a result. A car was also said to have been involved.

Two fire crews from Sleaford and a crew from Grantham attended the collision.

Crews used hydraulic rescue gear to release a casualty.

There were no reports of injuries, but the traffic queues built up due the incident on the A17.
