Easter fuel warning as cheapest petrol revealed across Skegness coast

Drivers heading to the coast this Easter are being urged to shop around for fuel, with prices varying significantly across Skegness and surrounding resorts.

Latest data shows some of the cheapest fuel in the area can still be found at supermarket forecourts and in nearby villages — while coastal locations such as Ingoldmells and Chapel St Leonards tend to be higher.

Among the lowest-priced sites locally is T D Motors on Station Road in Burgh le Marsh, where unleaded has recently been recorded at around 131.9p per litre.

Supermarket stations in Skegness are also among the cheapest options, including Morrisons Petrol Station and Asda Skegness Roman Bank Petrol Filling Station, with petrol typically around 131–133p per litre based on recent data.

However, prices rise as drivers head further along the coast.

In Chapel St Leonards, the main forecourt — Beltons Auto Service — has been listed at around 151.7p per litre for petrol, making it one of the more expensive local options.

Fuel availability in smaller coastal areas can also be more limited, with Chapel St Leonards having only one main petrol station serving the village.

While Ingoldmells does not have as many large forecourts, nearby Skegness stations are typically relied upon by visitors travelling into the resort.

Elsewhere in Skegness, sites such as Churchill Service Station on Burgh Road are often slightly more expensive than supermarket alternatives.

The difference in prices means motorists could save several pounds per tank simply by choosing where to fill up — particularly during the busy Easter getaway.

There have also been wider warnings of increased demand over the bank holiday period, with some reports nationally of temporary diesel shortages at certain sites.

While there have been no confirmed widespread outages locally, drivers are being advised to plan ahead and refuel early.

With coastal towns expected to see a surge in visitors, queues at petrol stations are also likely at peak times.
