Fire destroys 15 acres of stubble at Billinghay
Three fire crews were called to deal with a stubble field fire in Billinghay on Sunday.
The incident was reported just before 3.30pm and crews from Sleaford, Woodhall Spa and Metheringham attended the blaze on land off Sprite Lane, according to the fire service.
Fifteen acres of stubble were burned before it could be put out with water and beaters and assistance from farmers with their equipment.
