Forklift catches fire on main road at Greylees

Firefighters were called yesterday morning (Monday) to a forklift on fire at Greyless.

The incident was reported on Grantham Road at 9.42am, according to a fire and rescue service spokesman.

The report said the engine compartment of the forklift suffered light fire and heat damage and was put out with a hose.

A thermal imaging camera was used to inspect for any remaining hotspots which might have flared up.
