Legendary Flying Scotsman to pass through Sleaford this year

The legendary Flying Scotsman will be powering through Sleaford on a day excursion to York this summer.

It has been announced by The Railway Touring Company, based in Kings Lynn, that the steam locomotive No. 60103 Flying Scotsman will be hauling a special train from King’s Cross to York.

Departing at 7.05am on Saturday June 18, 2016 it will pass through Peterborough to pick up more passengers at 9.30am, then Spalding, Sleaford, Lincoln and Gainsborough on the Great Northern Great Eastern Line.

Travellers will have plenty of time to enjoy York before returning at 3.40pm on the East Coast Main Line later that day, stopping at Peterborough at 7.20pm.
