Lincolnshire County Council has amended the restrictions in Spilsby Road in the area of Mayfair Gardens and Standish Grove to no waiting, 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday – previously, it had been 8am to 6pm, Wednesday and Saturday.

In addition, no waiting at any time is now in effect on the east side of Standish Grove and at the junction of Spilsby Road and Mayfair Gardens.

Jeanne Gibson, programme leader for minor works and traffic at the council, said: “The waiting restrictions on Spilsby Road are being introduced following complaints from local residents regarding issues entering and exiting their properties due to the number of parked cars regularly parking here.

“A ‘No Waiting, 8am-6pm Wednesday and Saturday’ restriction was already in place to cover Boston market days, but we anticipate that extending the restriction and amending it to apply 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday’ will further protect accesses and improve safety for all road users.”
