Part of car park being used as compound for road resurfacing works in Sleaford
Residents have been advised that part of Grantham Road car park in Sleaford is being used as a site compound for county council contractors currently resurfacing the road nearby.
At the request of Lincolnshire County Council (LCC), the un-refurbished section of the car park off Brydone Way in Sleaford is temporarily being used to support the highway resurfacing works on Grantham Road.
While North Kesteven District Council says it has agreed to make part of the car park available, the remainder of the car park remains available for public use throughout the works.
The compound will be operated by Holcim, Lincolnshire County Council's appointed contractor, and will accommodate welfare facilities, vehicles, plant and materials needed to deliver the improvement works. The area will be in use from July 13 until October 30 and Holcim will be responsible for both managing the compound throughout the works and for reinstating the area on completion.

More information is available on the LCC webpage.
The Grantham Road resurfacing and level crossing signal replacement works in Sleaford have also impacted local bus services due to the closure of the Southgate level crossing from July 13 to August 15.
During this period, some school services, Centrebus 27, and Sleaford Into Town services IT2 and IT3 will be unable to access the town centre, railway station or Market Place from the south side of town.
A temporary bus stop will be provided on Grantham Road opposite the Spar shop and passengers will need to walk into the town centre or station via the pedestrian crossing route.
Services IT2 and IT3 will start and finish on the south side of the crossing and will not serve Handley Monument during the closure.
During part of the works, buses will not be able to pick up or set down passengers on Grantham Road between Northfield Road and St Edmund's Road. Passengers should use alternative nearby stops where available.
Additional rolling road closures from July 20 may affect some local services, with further details to be confirmed.
The level crossing is expected to reopen on August 15, with most bus services returning to normal routes from August 17.
The Callconnect 65/66 and Stagecoach 31/31X will not be affected.
