Police witness appeal after elderly man airlifted from A17 Sleaford bypass crash

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have information with their investigation into a collision which took place between a car and a lorry on the A17 Sleaford bypass yesterday (Tuesday).

At around 12.10pm yesterday a red Peugeot 206 was in collision with a static lorry on the westbound section of the A17 near Kirkby La Thorpe.

A police spokesman said: “The driver of the Peugeot, a local man in his 80s, was airlifted to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham with serious injuries. He remains there for treatment today.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or saw the manner in which the Peugeot was being driven beforehand.”
