Proposed changes to parking on Sleaford’s Station Road
Drivers, taxi users, and bus passengers in Sleaford face potential changes to how space is allocated along Station Road under new proposals published by Lincolnshire County Council.
The council has announced an amendment to designated waiting, loading, and stopping zones along key stretches of the road.
A daily bus stand operating from 7am to 7pm will be introduced at the existing bus stop layby on Station Road.
On the section opposite the bus stop layby, the current "no stopping except taxis" rule will be replaced with a dual-use restriction: 7am – 5pm designated for loading only, and 5pm to 7am will be no stopping except taxis. This means taxis will not be able to park and wait there during daytime hours.

Standard exemptions will remain in place to allow blue badge holders to wait, vehicles to pick up or set down passengers, goods loading/unloading, and utility maintenance work.
Members of the public can review the plans and the council's official Statement of Reasons online at lincolnshire.gov.uk/trafficorders. Physical copies are also available upon request via the council's Customer Service Centre (01522 782070) or for inspection at the North Kesteven District Council offices during standard opening hours.
Objections or formal representations regarding the proposed order must be submitted in writing by 8 November.
Submissions should include the grounds on which they are made and can be sent by email: [email protected] (Attention: Mr B Gault, Traffic Orders Section) or post: Chief Executive – Lincolnshire County Council, Lancaster House, 36 Orchard Street, Lincoln, LN1 1XX.
