Residents asked if Mablethorpe needs a community transport hub
Residents of Mablethorpe are being consulted about plans to improve community transport in the town.
The Lincolnshire CVS (Community and Voluntary Partnership) is leading the consultation and is keen to hear from people who live and work in Mablethorpe and also visit the resort during the summer.
The organisation wants to canvass their thoughts on whether or not getting around the town could be improved by setting up a community transport mobility hub.
This hub would be a centralised place that integrated the various modes of transport available to people in Mablethorpe, such as buses, electric bike and scooter rentals, electric vehicle (EV) charging points and car clubs.

The aim would be to encourage active travel and to make the various methods of public transport more easily accessible, while also providing all kinds of public transport information.
Lincolnshire CVS held an in-person chat session at the Campus For Future Living centre on Stanley Avenue on Monday (February 23) morning and has also posted a brief survey online so that people can have their say at a convenient time to suit them.
The survey asks simple questions, such as: ‘do you have any personal barriers to transport?’, and ‘do you think there is a need for further community transport options in Mablethorpe?’.
The survey can be found here.
