UPDATE: 24-year-old man dies following Saleby crash at the weekend

Nicholas Booth, 24, from Main Road in Hundleby, has died in hospital following a collision at Saleby, near Alford, on Sunday morning (August 23).

Mr Booth died in hospital yesterday evening (August 24).

The collision happened at the junction of Rose Lane and Greenfield Lane at around 8.20am, when a blue Renault Clio left the road and hit a tree.

Fire crews from Alford and Mablethorpe were called to attend the collision and the driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, was airlifted to Hull Royal Infirmary.

Mr Booth is the 27th fatality on Lincolnshire’s roads so far this year, compared to 17 at the same point last year, and an overall number of 41 in 2014.
