UPDATE: Train services return to normal after broken down train

Thursday, 4.20pm: Services are now running normally between Sleaford and Skegness after a broken down train caused disruption earlier today (July 10).

The incident between Heckington and Boston had at one point been causing delays of up to an hour.

Thursday, 2pm: A broken down train between Heckington and Boston continues to cause delays on the rails.

The incident is currently causing delays of up to 30 minutes to trains between Sleaford and Skegness, National Rail Enquiries has advised.

Earlier today the delays were reported as being up to an hour.

Thursday, 12.05pm: Rail passengers are currently facing delays due to a broken down train between Heckington and Boston.

National Rail Enquiries has advised the issue is causing delays of up to 60 minutes to trains between Sleaford and Skegness.
