Travis Cullum, 15, is hoping to take part in Outlook Expeditions, a programme in which children and teachers go on challenging, inspiring, and transforming trips to make a difference in a community.

About 50 students from the Robert Carre Trust – a partnership between Carre’s Grammar School and Kesteven and Sleaford High School – are planning to travel to Morocco for about one week in the summer of 2018 through the programme.

Travis’s group would be climbing Mount Toubkal, the tallest mountain in North Africa, and also carrying out community work. On the appeal of the expedition, Travis said: “It is something that will always stay with me.”

However, to take part Travis and the others need to raise about £1,900 each.

To help raise funds, Travis plans to go busking, and has also agreed to plan his mother’s birthday party, with guests donating money to Travis instead of presents.
