Trial set for Clowne man

A CLOWNE man is to stand trial accused of making allegations of corruption against police on the internet.

Raymond Field, 40, of Bramlyn Close, faces two charges of sending a false message intending to cause annoyance, inconvenience or anxiety. He is said to have posted messages on Facebook alleging corruption against two police officers.

Field denied both charges at Chesterfield Magistrates Court and will stand trial on 20th January.
