He said the event had been “absolutely fantastic” and expected to raise over £3,000.

There was live music all day, more than 30 trucks on display and fun fair rides.

Neil said: “I didn’t sleep properly for two days but it all ran so smoothly in the end. We are thinking of doing another one next year and will support LIVES from now on.”

He thanked everyone for pulling together and supporting the well-attended event.

“You have got to have a team behind you and everyone gave up their free time,” he said.

“A couple who had their wedding last week asked for donations instead of presents and gave it all to us.”
