Trusthorpe man sentenced after causing £8,000 damage to a Porsche
A Trusthorpe man, who made off after crashing into a Porsche in a car he should not have been driving and causing more than £8,000 in damage, was given a community order at Skegness Magistrates' Court yesterday (March 1).
As reported last week, the court heard that Albert Ezekiel Patrick Richards, 56, of Mill Field, had taken his friend’s car for which he was not insured, and while driving it crashed into a Porsche in High Street, Sutton on Sea, before making off.
After hearing from the Probation Service that Richards had ‘poor thinking skills’ and was considered to be only a ‘medium’ risk to the public, the magistrates imposed a 12 month community order with a 15 day rehabilitation requirement.
He was also ordered to pay a fine of £100, a £60 victim surcharge, £85 in costs and £500 compensation to the owner of the Porsche.
