Two Creswell fires in one night

CLOWNE firefighters were called out twice on Wednesday night to two fires in Creswell.

At 11.12pm crews attended a fire at Colliery Road in the village where they put out a small amount of rubbish in flames on open ground.

Then at 2.08am on Thursday morning they were called to a bin fire in Duke Street, Creswell.

In recent months police have been working to tackle an ongoing problem with youths setting fire to things in the colliery area.
