Two good causes

THE police and fire service have donated cash to two worthwhile charities.

A family fun day and carol service at the Lifewise Centre in Hellaby helped to raise £546.50 for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

They were organised by the community safety departments from South Yorkshire Police and the fire service for the staff and their family and friends who were involved in creating Lifewise Centre - a life-size film set of a small town which is used to deliver fire, road and personal safety messages to the public.

Many staff gave up their weekends and made donations to create the Lifewise Centre.

A total of £546.50 was also donated to Amy’s House.
