Two men charged following disturbance in Mablethorpe

Two local men have been charged in connection with an incident in the Spanish City area of Mablethorpe in the early hours of this morning (Thursday January 14).

Officers were called to the area at around 1.25am this morning in response to a report of a disturbance involving a crowd.

Curtis Chapman (22), of Beech Grove, Louth, and Luke William Simpson (25), of St Andrew’s Road, Mablethorpe, were arrested and later charged with offences under the Public Order Act.

Both men were bailed to appear at Skegness Magistrates’ Court on February 16.

Community Inspector Andy Morrice said: “We are operating a zero tolerance approach to violence and disorder and are working closely with licensed premises in Mablethorpe to ensure we have the full support of licensees.

“Offences of assault will be dealt with robustly and we will make full use of our powers under the Public Order Act to put those involved in disorder before the court”.
