Two people seriously injured in collision between private ambulance and lorry on A16 between Boston and Sibsey

The A16 has been closed in both directions between Sibsey and Boston this afternoon (Wednesday) after a serious collision between a lorry and a private ambulance has left two people badly injured.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman told the Standard: “An HGV and private ambulance collided on the road between Sibsey and Boston, near Hurn Road and the Gulf petrol station, at around 1.30pm.

“Two people, the driver and passenger in the private ambulance, sustained serious injuries.

“We are appealing for witnesses to the collision.

“If you saw the incident or have any dashcam footage, please let us know. Call 101, quoting Incident 224 of November 7; email [email protected] also quoting Incident 224 of November 7.”

According to AA traffic news, the A16 near Sibsey is closed and traffic queuing due to the collision between Willows Lane and Hurn Lane.
