Two seriously injured in collision near Skegness involving van that went in ditch

Two drivers were seriously injured in a collision on the A52 near Skegness involving a Tesco lorry and a car.

Witnesses reported seeing the lorry in a ditch ‘before Sid Dennis & Sons Ltd recycling centre’ on Monday afternoon.

The road was closed for six hours and diversions put in place.

Lincolnshire Police said: ‘The road was closed and reopened at 8.30 pm

“The vehicles involved are a Blue Vauxhall Insignia, and a grey Volkswagen Transporter.

"Both drivers were taken to hospital with injuries reported as serious.”
