Two vehicle collision on A15 causing disruption on A15 at Leasingham

A two vehicle collision has been reported on the A15 this morning (Tuesday) thought to have occurred some time around 7.50am

According to traffic reports there were at least two vehicles involved, one ending up in a ditch close to the junction with the B1209 at Leasingham.

Police were on the scene, guiding cars through slowly while casualties were attended to ambulance staff. One woman in her 30’s was injured, according to a police spokesman, the severity is not clear at this time.

Traffic was affected in both directions as the A15 was closed at 9am for vehicle recovery but reopened at 9.30am.

Fire crews attended a car fire on the A17 at Fulbeck yesterday (Monday), reported at 11.45am.

According to a fire service spokesman the firefighters wore breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire using a hose reel. The fire is said by investigators to have been caused by an electrical fault in the engine compartment.

○ The fire crew from Metheringham attended a garden centre on Fen Lane in the village yesterday morning when a pressurised container is reported to have exploded.

The crew attended just before 10am and administered first aid to one person.
