UPDATE: Car fire classed as '˜arson'

Police have confirmed they are investigating a car fire on Ida Road, in Skegness, last night as arson.

A force spokesman confirmed officers were investigating the fire which started in a Mercedes and then further spread to a nearby Ford Fiesta.

It was reported to emergency services at 10.44pm.

It is said a petrol can was found in the vicinity of the incident.

Wednesday, 12.11pm - A fire which spread over two cars last night (Tuesday) is under investigation to establish the cause according to Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue.

A crew from Skegness was called to the incident at 10.44pm on Ida Road, in Skegness.

A spokesman said the fire started in one car and then spread to another vehicle nearby.

It was extinguished using two breathing apparatus, a hose reel and a thermal imaging camera.

The spokesman said the cause is still under investigation.
