But East Lindsey District Council has stressed that a height barrier is soon set to go up.

The council’s enforcement team Leader, Duncan Hollingworth, said: “Around 16 vehicles are currently parked on the Seacroft Road Car Park in Mablethorpe without consent.

“The Council is in the process of instigating legal proceedings against the owners. The speed at which this matter can be dealt with is determined by the legal process.”

Mr Hollingworth added: “A height restriction barrier will shortly be installed at this car park to help prevent access by unauthorised vehicles in the future.

“The extended time taken to arrange this installation has been governed by the lengthy legal process that the Council has been obliged to follow.”
