UPDATE: Injured woman airlifted to hospital - believed to have fallen from window of flats in Sleaford

Emergency services have been called to Westgate Flats in Sleaford this morning after a call raising concerns about a woman's safety.

According to a police spokesman, officers attended the flats in Westgate opposite the Electra Club and the air ambulance was also called to the scene, landing in St George’s Academy field.

The spokesman said: “A woman has been injured and is receiving medical attention. She has been taken to hospital by air ambulance.”

Reports on social media suggest the woman fell from an upstairs window.

One resident from Westgate Park, opposite the flats said she saw the fire service were first on the scene: “I saw two ambulances, a police car and the air ambulance overhead landing in the school field. I thought it must be something to do with the flats.”
