Update: Investigations to find out what happened in Retford fire which left one person dead to begin on Wednesday
An investigation is being carried out on a block of flats in Retford where one person reportedly died.
Notts Police are now waiting for the building to be deemed as structurally safe before they enter and begin investigations, to find out exactly what happened on Friday 21st November.
The fire on Cobwell Road started at about 4.30pm.
Occupants of the flats and the neighbouring building were evacuated to the nearby leisure centre while firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze. Officers are now working to secure alternative accommodation for the people affected.
Notts Police also said the investigations may take some time.
