UPDATE: Police confirm pedestrian was involved in John Adams Way collision

Police have confirmed a man who suffered minor injuries following a collision on John Adams Way yesterday (Monday) was a pedestrian, not a cyclist as first reported.

The spokesman said the log had initially mentioned a cyclist being involved, however, had since been updated to clarify the situation.

The local man in his 60s was taken to Pilgrim Hospital following the incident which took place just after 10am.

The police spokesman said the incident was now classified as ‘minor injury’.

Monday 11.11am - A cyclist has been taken to hospital following a collision with a vehicle.

A police spokesman said the incidend happened just after 10am on John Adams Way, at the junction with High Street.

The cyclist suffered head injuries.

The road has been closed at Liquorpond Street causing further disruption to this morning’s level crossing issues
