UPDATE: Road where manhole cover collapsed reopens

The county council's highways team have already fixed a manhole cover which had collapsed earlier leaving a lane closed on John Adams Way.

A Lincolnshire County Council spokesman confirmed it had been repaired and said ‘the road is expected to fully reopen in the next few minutes’.

Thursday, 1.29pm -A manhole cover collapsing has closed a lane on John Adams Way, in Boston, today (Thursday).

The inside lane, heading northbound between Liquorpond Street and Bargate, has been closed as maintenance teams head out to investigate.

A spokesman for the council said the lane is expected to be re-opened either later today or tomorrow.
