UPDATE: School pays tribute to ‘sensitive’ pupil killed in Creswell crash

A WORKSOP school has paid tribute to pupil Chantelle Keywood, who was tragically killed in a car crash yesterday.

The five-year-old died along with her 22-month-old sister when the car they were travelling in collided with another at 4.45pm on Monday.

A School spokesperson said: “We learnt on Tuesday that Monday night’s fatal car accident involved children from the Priory School, Worksop.”

“One of our Year One children, Chantelle Keywood, died in the accident along with her 22-month-old sister.”

“All the Governors, staff and children have been told about the tragic events.”

“As a school, we will be supporting our children and families during these difficult days.”

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole Keywood family and those close to them.”

“At school, Chantelle was a quiet, thoughtful and sensitive girl who will be greatly missed by her friends and teachers.”

Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident to call 01773 572929.
