UPDATE SUNDAY 5.05PM: Office items damaged in Skegness building fire

Firefighters are damping down at the scene of a derelict building fire in Skegness today.

Crews from the town were called reports of a fire in Old Wainfleet Road, near the A52 Skegness to Boston road, just before 3.30pm.

But the fire was already out on the crew’s arrival and they used a knapsack to damp down a first floor office where a small amount of rags and paper were burnt.

BREAKING NEWS SUNDAY 4.30PM: Derelict building on fire in Skegness

Fire crews from Skegness have been called to a blaze at a derelict builing near the A52 in the town today.

The fire is at a building in Old Wainfleet Road, near Skegness and District General Hospital, and was reported shortly before 3.30pm.
