UPDATE: Woman dies after air ambulance and emergency services attend incident at Tesco in Sleaford

A woman has been pronounced dead after medics fought to save her in Tesco's car park in Sleaford today (Thursday).

The air ambulance, police and land ambulance were called to the incident where a woman in her late 80s was reported to have collapsed in the car park at Tesco in Sleaford at about 11.24am, according to an East Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman.

An area of the store’s car park off Northgate was cordoned off by police and supermarket staff while medics battled to revive the woman.

The EMAS spokesman said: “We despatched a LIVES responder, double crew ambulance and an operational manager (solo paramedic). Air Ambulance was called in to provide support.

“Sadly, the lady was pronounced deceased.”

The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance landed in the car park of Northgate Sports Hall at nearby Carre’s Grammar School.
