UPDATE: Woman hit by car in Cannon Street, Louth

Cannon Street was briefly closed this afternoon (Wednesday) as emergency services vehicles rushed to the scene after a car hit a pedestrian.

An injured woman was seen being treated at the roadside opposite the Playhouse Cinema earlier this afternoon, following the collision at around 12.25pm.

The road was closed while the crews dealt with the incident, and re-opened shortly after 1pm.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman told the Leader that the woman has been taken to Grimsby Hospital, with injuries described as ‘not serious’.
