UPDATE: Woman killed in collision in Horncastle

A woman has died following a road traffic collision in Stanhope Road Horncastle this afternoon, Sunday June 5.

Police were called to the incident at 12.14pm along with the air ambulance and other emergency services.

According to police the woman is aged in her 80s and she was fatally injured in the collision involving a Nissan car.

No further details are available at this time.

Officers are appealing for witnesses. Anyone who saw the collision is asked to call police on 01522 558855 or 101 quoting incident 168 of 05/06/2016.

The road is currently remains closed and police are asking motorists to avoid the area.
