UPDATED: Woman killed in crash on A15 which remains closed

The A15 in Lincolnshire will be shut for some hours this afternoon, Wednesday January 13, after a woman was killed in a crash.

The incident involved a red Mini driven by the deceased woman and curtained sided DAF lorry.

The woman was alone in her car. She lives in the Lincoln area. The lorry driver was unhurt.

Her immediate family have been informed but a formal identification is yet to be carried out.

Emergency services are in attendance at Riseholme, between the A46 Bypass and the roundabout with the A1500 Tillbridge Lane.

The road is currently closed and is expected to remain closed for much of the evening say police.

Investigating officers are appealing for witnesses to the collision to call via the 101 non-emergency number or to make contact via the Collision Witness Hotline on 01522 558855.
