The Ofsted report says the Academy’s leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school following the last inspection in 2012.

Since then, the school switched to an academy in 2013 and is in the federation with North Thoresby Primary Academy.

Key figures at the school - including headteacher Helen Redmond and assistant headteacher Paula Ellemore - were commended in the report. They were praised for quicly recognising the Academy’s unique sparsley populated rural setting, having only been in their positions for just one year.

Ms Redmond told the Leader she was ‘delighted’ about the school keeping it’s ‘good’ rating. She said: “It’s fantastic that after the changes since the last inspection, we have remained our rating.

“I must thank the staff for all their hard work and efforts put in this year and of course the children as they make the school and are an incredible bounch of young people.

“We also have a supportive fund raising group who are amazing and all of the parents who all pull together to make sure this school works. We are now looking forward to seeing an increase of pupil numbers from 42 to 50 in September.”
