The driver of the box van, Michael Boothman, 37, today (Wednesday) admitted two charges of causing death by careless driving when he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court.

Judge John Pini QC imposed an interim driving ban on Boothman and adjourned sentence until December 9 so that he can recover from a hip replacement operation

But the judge warned Boothman all options will be open when he is sentenced.

Boothman, of Farrar Court, Bramley, Leeds, was granted bail on condition he attends for the preparation of a pre-sentence report by the probation service.
