Victorian Day at Lincolnshire Wolds Railway

The Lincolnshire Wolds Railway in Ludborough will be transporting visitors back to Victorian times at a special event on Sunday, May 15.

Passengers can travel behind the ancient Victorian steam locomotive ‘Bellerophon’, which is one of the oldest working steam locomotives in the world.

There will also be Victorian re-enactors and you can find out what great grandma wore under her petticoats.

The station’s popular Steaming Kettle Buffet will also be serving afternoon vintage teas.

LWR spokesman Phil Eldridge said: “It should be a great atmosphere.

“Many of the staff will adorning Victorian attire for the day and we are inviting visitors to come dressed for the occasion and join in the fun.”
