A murder inquiry was launched back in July with support from Humberside Police after a review of long-term missing person cases in Nottinghamshire. Karen was 36-years-old when she disappeared.

Four men, aged 40, 54, 45 and 58 all from the Cleethorpes area were arrested on suspicion of murder but released without charge.

In the video, Roxanne Davis says her aunt was: “Full of life, funny and really caring. She loved her family, she loved Christmas. She was a bit of a wild child but really family orientated.”

She went onto appeal to the public: “Just let us know, it’s unfair, we can’t live our life not knowing what’s happened. My nan is in her 60s now, she doesn’t know what’s happened to her daughter.

“If someone knows something, they should help the police with their investigation.”

Detective Inspector Andy Bateman, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The arrests alongside the activity of EMSOU officers and Humberside Major Crime officers have identified further lines of enquiry which are now being pursed.

“This is a heart-breaking appeal from a girl who loved her aunt very much and I’m now appealing to the people of Cleethorpes within this tight-knit community because I do believe that someone somewhere has that piece of information that could provide the assistance we need and subsequently the closure for the family.

“I really would encourage anyone to ring in no matter how small the detail may be and use the Crimestoppers number if you need to.”

If anyone has any information that could help, please contact Nottinghamshire or Humberside Police on 101 quoting incident 502 of November 8.
