VIDEO: Attempted robber entered newsagents with a knife-type object

A man entered a newsagents with something which could have been a knife and demanded money from the till but it was empty.

Lincs Police are appealing for help to identify the man pictured as they would like to speak to him in connection with the attempted robbery.

At around 9.30pm on Sunday, September 13, a man entered a shop on Spital Terrace, Gainsborough, and demanded money.

He is believed to have been holding a screwdriver or a knife-type implement.

The man forced open the till and found it empty, then left the premises.

Two female staff members were in the shop at the time and were thankfully not injured but were left shaken up.

Officers are carrying out a number of enquiries in relation to the incident and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the man pictured or anyone who has any information they believe may be relevant to the investigation.
