VIDEO: Councillors '˜arrested' in Horncastle - all in the name of charity!
Officials from Home-Start Lincolnshire have said a big thank you to the volunteers from Horncastle who took part in a fundraising '˜jail and bail' event.
Mayor Bill Aron and fellow town councillor Jonathan Ferrari were among those who were locked in the back of a police van in the Market Place by PCSO Nigel Wass.

Along with other volunteers, the duo had to raise hundreds of pounds to ensure they were released - eventually!
Mr Ferrari, who owns a town centre coffee shop, said he was delighted to support such a worthwhile cause.

He said: “As a local town councillor and businessman, I like to take every opportunity to help good causes in our community.
“I recently became aware of Home-Start and when I was presented with such a challenge to be arrested, I jumped at the opportunity.”
Home-Start Lincolnshire helps local families with young children (aged 11 and under) who are struggling, whatever the reason.
