VIDEO: Crowds gather for Remembrance Sunday parade in Gainsborough

Crowds gathered in Gainsborough as the town came together to pay tribute to the nation’s fallen soldiers at the Remembrance Day service and parade.

Councillors, cadets and young children and families paid their respects by lining the streets and laying wreaths on Sunday, November 8.

The Gainsborough’s Civic Remembrance Service was held at All Saints’ Parish Church followed by a parade to the war memorial where the Last Post was sounded followed by a two minute silence.

Events were held across the UK as the country fell silent to remember those who lost their lives during conlicts.

Another two minute silence will be held at 11am on Wednesday, November 11 and the Last Post will be sounded in Market Place, Gainsborough followed by a short service.
