Move over zumba, the new, retro fitness craze based on 90s nightclubbing, Clubbercise, has landed in Sleaford and new members are queueing up to join in the fun.

Sally Butler leads the classes and explains what Clubbercise is for those who are unfamiliar with the concept.

Sally said: “The choreography is a blend of simple old school aerobic moves and more modern dance moves, offering high or low impact options aimed at all abilities, combined with a mix of 90s classic dance anthems up to the latest floor fillers.”

Sally has been teaching fitness classes for eight years, finally going self employed in January, 2015. She then wanted to continue expanding her business and wanted to find another fun fitness concept to use her passion for dance and bring something new to the town.

She described Clubbercise as: “One of the biggest dance fitness concepts to hit the fitness industry since Zumba.

“Classes are uniquely based in a nightclub environment, every workout feels like a night out!” Sally explained.

Clubbercise takes place every Tuesday and Thursday, from 6-7pm and 7.15-8.15pm, in Darmons Bar, Station Road. It is £4.50 a session and you can buy a pair of the trademark reusable flashing glow sticks that you use in the classes for £4 and get to keep. They provide a bonus arm workout and add to the club atmosphere
