VIDEO: John Mann MP joins protesters at UK Coal headquarters
Bassetlaw MP John Mann was among the protesters outside UK Coal’s headquarters in Harworth demonstrating against against the cutting of the concessionary fuel allowance.
Following the restructuring of UK Coal in December last year, and the company going into administration in the summer, former miners and widows were informed that they would no longer be receiving the fuel allowance due to them with some former miners being offered just two bags of coal as compensation.
Mr Mann called on the Government to do more to help the miners by putting the pressure on UK Coal to change its thinking.
