The trio, made by British manufacturer Avro, took off from RAF Waddington earlier this afternoon, passing over Boston shortly after 2pm.

They would then head on to RAF Marham in Norfolk.

The spectacle was made possible thanks to a visiting Lancaster bomber from Canada.

It coincided with a turf-cutting ceremony for the new Bomber Command Memorial at the International Bomber Command Centre, in Canwick Hill.
