VIDEO: Mayors of Skegness and Bad Gandersheim read names of our fallen at Remembrance 2018 ceremony in Germany

Skegness Mayor Coun Sid Dennis and the Mayor of Bad Gandersheim Franziska Schwarz sheltered from the rain under umbrellas to read out the names of the fallen from both of our towns.
The ceremony took place at The Box in the market square in Bad Gandersheim.

John Byford, the artist from Skegness who is the inspiration of The Box exhibit, joined the Mayor for the ceremony and says it all went 'fantastically'.
The Mayor of Bad Gandersheim and other members of the council have been presented with copies of the Skegness Standard, featuring the names of the fallen on the front page and the story of the special Remembrance exhibit at The Box.
John said: "Unfortunately it rained for the reading but the ceremony went fantastically and we are now in the Town Hall."
Coun Dennis, who signed the guest area of The Box as a relative was included in the list, commented: "I'm so honoured and proud to represent our town on such an important moment in the history of both of our countries."
