VIDEO: New bumper Poundstretcher store soon to open for business in Worksop

Worksop’s first Poundstretcher store will open its doors for business on Friday 3rd April, bringing in an employment boost of 20 new jobs to the town.

The new Poundstretcher, which will be located at the Mayfair Centre on Newgate Street, will be officially opened by Bassetlaw Councillor Gillian Freeman this week.

The store covers 19,775 sq. ft, and will stock a product line of from well-known food, toiletries, kitchenware, bedding and furniture.

Trina Williamson, Poundstretcher area manager, said, “We’re delighted to have opened such a fantastic new store for the people of Worksop”

The store will also be opening its sister store Pet Hut for customers to stock up on their pet essentials.

Councillor Gillian Freemon said she was looking forward to welcoming the store to the town.

She added: “The store is ideally situated for busy shoppers who will have the added bonus of being able to park nearby.”

“New stores like this can only be good for our District, providing our residents with more choice and bringing employment to the area.”
